The Western Hockey League’s annual schedule can always be counted on to provide a range of emotions! From the opening night jitters to the excitement of a division title or playoff push come March, the 72 regular season dates very seldom leave fans wanting more. The Cougars 2008-2009 schedule is no different!

You often hear in professional sports about a “championship hangover.” Who wants to hit the gym after winning a major championship? You would think for most players the first thought would be to celebrate. After all, it’s not everyday that you win Junior Hockey’s Holy Grail, the Memorial Cup. Sit back, and enjoy it, right? Not if you are Kevin Armstrong.

There is little doubt that Justin Maylan will be counted on to produce offensively for the Prince George Cougars during the upcoming 2008-2009 WHL season. Maylan was the centerpiece coming back from the Moose Jaw Warriors in the deadline deal that saw Ty Wishart and Evan Fuller go the other way to the Warriors.
