Wine Festival: SOLD OUT but 6 pairs of tickets up for auction
Just less than two weeks before the annual Theatre North West Wine Festival, the event has sold out. This is the third year in a row that the Wine Festival has sold out—a great thing for the Theatre, as it is the biggest fundraising event of the year for the much-loved non-profit theatre society. Not so great for those that didn’t quite get around to purchasing tickets to the “wine event” of the year.
It was welcoming news to Theatre North West’s new artistic producer, Troy O’Donnell. The Wine Festival will be his first opportunity to meet Prince George's enthusiastic wine lovers. “While it is exciting news that the Wine Festival has once again sold out, the fact that it has sold out so far in advance is incredible”, says O’Donnell.
After a look at the popularity and demand for the tickets, Festival organizers have decided to release six more pairs of tickets for the Saturday, November 14th event, which takes place from 7:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. at Exploration Place. These six last pairs of tickets will be available at six local restaurants under silent auction. “So, if you didn’t get your tickets yet, you have six more chances”, says O’Donnell.
The silent auctions will take place until Friday, November 13th at 9 p.m. at: The Coast Inn Lounge, Moxie’s, Ric’s Grill, The Publik, Twisted Cork and White Goose Bistro.
The tickets will go to the highest bidders at each restaurant. The Silent Auction closes on Friday, November 13th at 9 p.m. Tickets will be delivered to the lucky bidders’ doors that evening.
Who says Friday the 13th isn’t lucky?
