Using PictoBrowser and Flickr to add photo slideshows
In preparing to make a huge effort to add subscribers and users to thepulse.ca, I happened to stumble upon a great little FREE utility called PictoBrowser.
It is simply a slideshow interface that attaches to your flickr account to embed into blogs or content like that found on thepulse.ca. Once you have a public photo set put together on Flickr, all you need to do is go to PictoBrowser and follow the directions. You just input your username, select the public set you'd like to use in the show, modify the interface if you wish, and then the application spits out some embed code.
Simply copy and paste that code into your post, and voilá!
Here's an example I put together in just a few minutes of uploading to flickr, and then about 30 seconds of using the tool at PictoBrowser:
It's a beautiful thing. Nice and easy, just like embedding YouTube.
