Prism Film Festival's International Women's Day Celebration and Dance
Because women are worth celebrating!
Prism Film Festival's exciting annual International Women's Day Celebration and Dance will once again rock the house March 6th at 1177 - 3rd Avenue, starting at 8 pm. You won't want to miss this show! Prince Georgians can take this opportunity to celebrate the diverse, strong, and beautiful women in their lives!
As in years past, the celebration has attracted a large audience entertained by leading edge Prince George performers, poets, and musicians. This year's line up promises to deliver an electric evening, with genuine heart stoppers, laughs, and gaffs!
The night on the town will include the classically vintage Fogtown Follies Burlesque Troupe, a femininely educational performance by local Zelda C, gentle lyrics, voice and powerful guitar playing by local musician Stephanie Zakzke, and a stunningly hillarious act from the wildly popular play "Vagina Monologues"!
Tickets will be $10 at the door.
Prince George won't want to miss the hijinx, hilarity, and fun, all in the name of celebrating women.
The event will be followed by a tub thumping dance, attended by one of Prince George's hottest DJ's.

Prism Film Festival
The Prism Film Festival is the only gay, lesbian, bisexual, trans, two-spirited, queer (LGBTTG) film fest in Northern BC. Our mandate is to bring queer film to the residents of Northern BC, in an accessible format for all film lovers, with an emphasis on Canadian, independent content. However, over the years we have shown films from all over the world, from all genres, all ranges of content, and production. This year Prism will be hosting its 11th film festival, in conjunction with the 14th annual Prince George Pride celebration on July 17th, 2010.
While our films deal primarily with topics surrounding the queer community, it is a fantastic film festival for any film lover to enjoy. These films are rarely ever shown anywhere else in northern BC, and for most people, our film festival will be their only opportunity to see the titles we bring to Prince George.
This year we have formed a new board of directors which promises to bring a fun and fabulous flavour to all of our Prism events.
