"The Arctic is Melting: What does that mean for us?"
Dr. Stephen Dery, Canada Research Chair in Northern Hydrometeorology, UNBC

We have all seen pictures of polar bears trapped on ice flows by open
water and heard the dire predictions of Al Gore and David Suzuki, but what
does the melting of the Arctic ice really mean for us? This talk will
explore the implications of the melting of ice from glaciers, ice fields,
and in northern climates with a focus on the implications for central
British Columbia.
