This months FREE information session is brought to us by Prince George Community Policing. Community Policing will be presenting a 15 min. DVD by Phone Busters on Telemarketing Fraud, Nigerian Letter Scam and Identity Theft. The presentation will also talk about Prize Pitches, Recovery Pitches and Low Interest Credit Scams. They will bring some examples of scam materials such as lotteries and talk about some local stories.

The event is also open to the General Public to come and enjoy. No Charge, Refreshments served.

Good to know that there was such event that tackled scam awareness. Scammers will do anything just to accomplish their mission. Their usual victims are those who are easy to prey such as seniors. Many consumers in this economy live from paycheck to paycheck. Payday loans could be helpful tools for short-term assistance should unforeseen expenses take place. Scammers, however, are preying on these already financially stressed people with intimidating phone calls, attempting to bully them into having to pay non-existent debts. Here is the proof: Scammers target payday loan customers.
