Considered by many to be one of the significant Canadian authors of our time, Denise Chong, author of the bestseller, The Concubine's Children, will visit Books and Company on Monday March 22 at 7:00 p.m. Ms. Chong will sign copies of Egg on Mao, the story of a man who dared to deface a portrait of Chairman Mao during the 1989 protests in Tiananmen Square, and the consequences of his decisions to defy. Ms. Chong's first novel, The Concubine's Children, was on the Globe & Mail's best seller list for more than 85 weeks. Denise Chong grew up in Prince George, and along with writing best-selling books she serves on several national task forces.
