The Case of a Bad Wine

The art of winemaking is one of the oldest of all chemical transformations we know of. People from all cultures have been making wine for more than 6000 years but mostly, this has been carried out by "trial-and-error". However, developments in microbiology and genetics over the past 100 years have led to a better understanding of wine science and we are now able to solve the mystery behind a case of bad wine.
