Feature Gallery Opening Night

The Community Arts Council will be exhibiting two new artists in the Feature Gallery for August and September. Annerose Georgeson and Leanna Carlson will have their opening night on Thursday, August 12th from 7:00pm to 9:00pm at Studio 2880. Annerose, in addition to being an artist, is an art instructor at CNC, illustrator, active promoter of the arts and was recently nominated for the Arts Gallery of Honour. Her paintings portray a unique perspective on logging and explore both the value of the industry and the destruction of the cut blocks. Leanna is the President of the Community Arts Council, the Secretary of the Central Interior Regional Arts Council, a potter and active member of the Prince George Potters Guild. Leanna blends the functional aspects of her pottery with artistic design that often takes on the form, colour and nature of the forest and fields that surround her home.
Come and meet the artists at the Opening Reception on Thursday, August 12th from 7:00pm to 9:00pm at Studio 2880. Light refreshments will be served and the Community Arts Council will offer 10% off all Gift Shoppe merchandise for that night only.
