This week's movie is Once which tells the beautifully simple story of two strangers (their names are never revealed) who are drawn, over a few days, into each other’s world’s.
Winner of the Audience Award at Sundance, this film tells the story of "Guy", a street musician, and "Girl", a classically-trained Czech pianist. After a chance meeting on the street, they forge a personal and artistic relationship. This film is at heart a musical, but it challenges the traditions of that genre, portraying the complexities of contemporary life and human interaction... uplifting and heartbreaking.
Passes will be available at the CNC Bookstore and Books and Company. Single tickets will be available from those same outlets, on the Monday before the screening. These cost $7 regular, $6 for students, seniors, and unemployed. When you read the descriptions, you will run to buy tickets to all the films, don't take the chance of missing out.
