Nice bit of citizen journalism

I discovered a nice little bit of citizen journalism today, and I'm glad to see it happening more and more.

Today Opinion250 posted a story about the protest over lack of action on River Road.

But unlike the traditional news media, the story didn't end there. One commenter posted a link to her photos that she posted on Facebook, thereby adding to the texture and perspective of the story.

This is the future of news - hard and soft - and thepulse.ca is happy to be a part of it.

So, go ahead and blog at thepulse.ca to your heart's content and link like crazy to your Flickr account, Facebook, YouTube and more.

From now on, YOU are the media, not them.
