All in all, the play is very well done and is definitely worth going to see, and I congratulate Mr. Empey on an extremely well acted performance.
Currently showing at Books and Company, Vincent is a play about the life of Vincent van Gogh, the play is acted out by a local extremely talented actor, Wayne Empey, he acts out the part of Vincent's brother Theo. The play was written by Leonard Nimoy, and is very well done. The set was designed and constructed by Bas Rynsewyn, who also was the main director of the performance.
The actor emotionally gets into the character and makes the audience believe he actually is Theo, the part he is acting out. The performance was very informative and really draws the audiences attention into the life and story of Vincent van Gogh. The way the set was constructed really helped to bring the play to life and make it seem all the more real.
This one actor play does a very good job of describing the life of the worlds most misunderstood artist through the eyes of his brother Theo. Some of the props used in the play could have been emphasized more to make the performance seem more genuine, and further pull the audience into the play. All in all, the play is very well done and is definitely worth going to see, and I congratulate Mr. Empey on an extremely well acted performance.
