PGSO holds Remembrance Day Memorial Concert
The Prince George Symphony Orchestra will perform special chamber works on November 11 dedicated to the memory of those who have served and continue to serve Canada during times of war, conflict and peace.
This performance is part of the PGSO Sunday Serenade Series sponsored by Elias Honey. Selections will include Mozart's only Quintet for Clarinet, Adagio in G minor for Strings and Organ by Tomaso Albinoni, and Nocturne for Flute, Harp and Strings by E. Stahl. In addition, Jordan Dyck, PGSO Principal Cello, will premier an arrangement of In Flanders Fields for Voice and String Quartet.
Guest soloist is Ms. Melanie Nicol, Prince George mezzo-soprano. The performance will include a special Remembrance Day reading and will be followed by a reception. All performers will be local PGSO musicians, making this a special community music event. Please join the orchestra for this memorial presentation at 2 pm, November 11, St. Michael and All Angels Church, 5th & Victoria. Tickets are available at Studio 2880.
