PAWS FOR A CAUSE FO TATTOO TIME

The BSPCA is once again holding its annual fund raiser, “PAWS FOR A CAUSE.” Every year, all over BC, cities host an event and walk in the park to raise money for their local SPCA shelter. This year’s event will be held in Cottonwood Park on September 12, 2010.

Cougars Tentative 2010-11 Regular Season Schedule, Subject To Change

The Prince George Cougars are pleased to announce the club’s tentative 2010-11 regular season schedule, which is subject to change. A finalized Western Hockey League regular season schedule will be released on Tuesday, August 10.

Cougars and The Jim Pattison Broadcast Group Extend Partnership

The Prince George Cougars are pleased to announce that a new three year broadcast agreement has been reached with The Jim Pattison Broadcast Group. The contract ensures all of the Cougars regular season and playoff games will be aired live on 993 The Drive.

Adventure Camp for Deaf and Hard of Hearing Children & Their Families

The PG Deaf Children’s Society is making great strides in its endeavors to support deaf and
hard of hearing children and has big plans for the second half of 2010. To kick things off for
the new school year, they’re hosting a three-day, overnight Adventure Camp for deaf and
hard of hearing children and their families from September 10-12, 2010 at Ness Lake Bible

Old Line Mates Meet Again in Tampa Bay

Two of the last three Prince George Cougars players to be selected in the NHL Entry Draft have been chosen by the Tampa Bay Lightning. Most recently, forward Brett Connolly went sixth overall to the Bolts, the first player drafted by first year Lightning General Manager Steve Yzerman. Three years ago, Dana Tyrell went to Tampa Bay in the second round, 47th overall.

Come out to Nancy O's in Prince George at 8pm on August 14th to support a good cause and listen to great music! This event features a trifecta of artists brought together under the title: "Logic Manifest." They formed as a band in early 2010 in Prince George, B.C. Logic Manifest provides a variety of acoustic sounds and vocals that may be described as folk-rock.
