PRINCE GEORGE, BC – For the first time in Prince George Cougars history, the team will play its home opener in October. The Cougars kick off their 16th season at CN Centre on October 1, 2010 against the Vancouver Giants.

PRINCE GEORGE, BC – The Prince George Cougars are proud to announce the signings of 2010 WHL Bantam Draft selections Jordan Tkatch and Jarrett Fontaine to standard WHL education contracts. Tkatch and Fontaine, first cousins and both forwards from the Humboldt Bantam Broncos in 2009-10, were the Cougars second and fourth picks in the Bantam draft, respectively.

PRINCE GEORGE, BC – The Prince George Cougars are proud to announce graduated forward Tyler Halliday has committed to attend Thompson Rivers University in Kamloops. Halliday, a Kamloops product, will continue to play hockey as well, suiting up for the TRU WolfPack when the BC Intercollegiate Hockey League season begins in September.

PRINCE GEORGE, BC – The Prince George Cougars are proud to congratulate Dustin Byfuglien on helping the Chicago Blackhawks win the Stanley Cup Wednesday night in Philadelphia. Byfuglien becomes the first former Cougars player to become a Stanley Cup Champion.

The live interview will take place during the first intermission of Game 4 of the Stanley Cup Final between the Chicago Blackhawks and Philadelphia Flyers at the Wachovia Center in Philadelphia.
