Bookmarks
Want to add specific events and other content to a list for easy reference? Members can simply "Click to bookmark" the post, and it appears in a list you can manage by going to "My Bookmarks." With the bookmark list, it's easy to mark and remember the events you are most interested in attending and sharing.
Create Content: Events, Press Releases, Stories & Blog Posts
Do you want to promote an event, or issue a press release and have the ability to manage the content at any time? Members have the ability to create and edit content of all kinds:
Events
Create an unlimited number of events, all for free. Events feature links back to the presenter's web site, an event picture, ticket information, an optional Google Maps link, prices, contact information and the ability to incude YouTube and Google Video.
You can be as descriptive as you like in the Event Details, and there is a separate area for a "Teaser" for when your events are displayed next to others.
Your events are easy for others to find and search by date, event type, audience and price.
Press Releases
Have you ever wanted your press release to published by the traditional media, but find it is ignored or published too late? Now Members of thepulse.ca can publish and manage Press Releases on their own schedule and make it available to visitors of thepulse.ca and to search engines like Google and Yahoo!
Stories
For those who would like to participate in Citizen Journalism, they can submit stories including news, slideshows, video, features and reviews, and should be written in a "journalistic" style with proper attribution.
Blog Posts
Become a Member of thepulse.ca and get your own blog - a perfect place to write first-person accounts of what you're doing in the community, what's going on with your club, or something interesting about an event.
Rich-Text Editing and Photos
All the content types listed above offer a rich-text editor, so you can format your entries as easily as using a word processer. You also have the ability to upload and manage photos (totalling up to 3 megabytes) for use in your stories, blog posts and more.
Member Profile
Finally, each Member has a profile page, visible only to other members, so you can introduce yourself and add optional contact information and interests. Only your real name cannot be hidden from other members.
